About CWA

So many people link CWA with scones and craft - however you might be surprised to find that these are not part of our core objects, they are very valued interests, plus scones are a very useful fund raiser.

Our key Object:
1. to improve conditions by community service more especially as they affect the welfare of women and children. The other objects of the Association are subject and ancillary to this main purpose of the Association.

Others:
2. To address the drift from rural areas.
3. To establish Branches of the Association
4. To organise and support schemes for the benefits of members and the community.
5. To promote friendship and support among members of the Association ans sister organisations and to welcome and take an interest in all newcomers in every district.
6. To encourage members and their families to develop personal skills.
7. To interest members in the sustainable development of their State, local town and district in general.
8. To work for the promotion of the environment.
9. To inspire and work for international understanding.
10. To take an interest in the workings of the Government at Federal, State and Local level.
11. To utilise various mediums, including electronic and print media, for the purpose of circulating information to members and the community and reports on the activities of the Association and articles of general interest.
12. To award educational grants and scholarships.
13. To co-operate with any other organisations have similar objects.
14. To be an Affiliated Member of The Country Women's Association of Australia and The Associated Country Women of the World.
